Launching a new car is always an exciting time. For us here at Suzuki, a new Vitara sends a real wave of anticipation and pride around the company and through our dealer network.

We are very proud to say that we invented the Sports Utility Vehicle, or SUV as it’s become known, back in the 1980s. For many years the Vitara and its later big brother, the Grand Vitara, were the staple product of our brand, bringing practical off-road experiences to ordinary Kiwis and their families. This is very relevant here in New Zealand with our healthy outdoors environment and easy access to rivers, the mountains and the beach.

This month heralds the arrival of a new generation of compact SUVs, so modern and user-friendly that we like to say that we’ve now “reinvented” the class.
